First-year architecture students conducted a detailed architectural documentation of a traditional mud house located in rural Wayanad. The project focused on capturing the unique construction techniques, material usage, and vernacular design elements of the mud house, which is reflective of the region's socio-cultural and environmental context. Through site visits, students documented the spatial layout, structural details, and surrounding landscape, gaining hands-on experience in understanding sustainable, climate-responsive architecture deeply rooted in local traditions. This documentation provided valuable insights into indigenous architecture and its relevance in modern design practices
